Press bio

Hunter Lee Canning was Joey, the horse, at Lincoln Center for two years. A three-person Bunraku puppet that asked him to inhabit an animal's body without props. He also builds AI companies. The other credits: he played Darryl Warren in Peacock's Dr. Death (Season 2, 2023), the father of Hannah Warren, a toddler born without a windpipe whose experimental trachea transplant opens the season. First three episodes, opposite Mandy Moore. He played Jack in Vimeo's cult web series The Outs (created by Adam Goldman, co-cast with Bowen Yang and Alan Cumming), and voiced parts in Audible's Hot White Heist and Welcome to Night Vale. Co-founder and CCO of Plumwheel (AI marketing built around founders' own words) and founder of RAGnos Labs (builds AI-native products end to end). Through PowerToFly he hosts an ongoing AI speaker series with eight hundred recorded conversations on tape. Twenty years of New York theater photography (NYT, Time Out) is the throughline running under the current work.
